AIM/OBJECTIVE: for cleaning the polluted Mithi river In Mumbai in order to promote awareness on preserving our ecosystem among the youth on this environmental day 2023.

Why Mithi River
In Hindi, Mithi means “sweet”, but the water in the short river that flows through the city of Mumbai ceased to be sweet decades ago. Floating garbage started to cover its surface, barely allowing the water to be seen and the beaches around its mouth were considered the most polluted in the world 10 years ago.
This is the current scenario of Mithi River in Mahim.
On this Environment day we are starting our initiative to clean the Mithi River. Inorder to create awareness and make sure that the future generations are well aware of the importance of sustaining the environment to have a healthy long life.
