Women in India have had the short end of the stick for a long time now. Many women in our country still are refused basic education making them dependent on someone else for their livelihood. Pragatee Foundation aims to ameliorate the plight of women by making them self-reliant.
The latest initiative under the Uddan Program for Women Empowerment has been to promote “baking skills” amongst interested women. For this, our foundation distributed cake mix for free to women looking to set up their baking businesses. This is a small step towards making women self-reliant and possibly earning an income through baking and selling goods.
