About Project
“Uddan” Women Empowerment Program aimed to enhance the social, economic empowerment of women. We encourage them to become entrepreneurs, contribute substantially to their household income.
Through this program, we give skill-oriented training (Education), help them to become self-dependent through becoming entrepreneurs or being employed with good financial practice, help with access to microcredit loans from Bank and equip them with business skills (Employment). In addition, we work to advance literacy, effective communication, and leadership training skill in order to make effective decisions, motivate them to become independent and self-relaince (Empowerment).
Objective
It is our main motto that brings about the poor & women affected by domestic violence, in the mainstream of the community. Looking at the current strata of socially and economically disadvantaged women there is a lack of awareness and facility in the field of health, hygiene, and education, The women from this community are much more behind the level of empowerment. As some of these communities are still in the era of “Bhurka” & “Ghungat” systems. Women still don’t have the right to express themselves in business.
Therefore, it is necessary to cater to this population and give them proper handholding support, organize them together, train and motivate them to become independent and self-sufficient. No woman will victim of domestic violence if she is having skills in terms of knowledge, earning & communication.
