Distribution of free food grains & daily essential goods to the daily wager families through Pragati Foundation on the occasion of Maharashtra Day and Labour Day. The Corona epidemic is in its second year. The second wave of the Corona epidemic this year has wreaked havoc in the states. Many industries have closed down. Many people have lost their jobs. A lot of people have lost their jobs.
Despite the dire situation, this year, as in previous years, the relief work is being carried out day & night through the Pragati Foundation. On the occasion of Maharashtra Day and Labor Day, Pragati Foundation launched the campaign “Save Labour …Feed the Wager…. Feed Rural India”. Under this special campaign, food grains and daily essential goods were distributed to the working families in rural areas. These included tribal region pada laborers, road construction laborers, building construction workers as well as destitute needy women families doing housework, etc.
The Om Charity Foundation in Bangalore and the Shri Hari Har Putra Bhajan Samaj Mandal in Mumbai were instrumental in the campaign “Feed Rural India”. Mr. Balaji Rathod, Mr. Haridas, Gangathade and Mr. Venkat Kagane, teachers of Raigad district carried out the responsibility through Pragati Foundation. Pranay Dhamal and Ramchandra Mokashi took charge of Palghar district. A total of 60 families in both districts were given food grains. These included wheat flour, rice, tur dal, turmeric, spices, onions, cereals, oil, soap, etc.
Kiran Rane, president of the organization and Prof. R. R. S. Mani (Chief Advisor) guided the entire campaign.
The organization has said that in the coming time, the initiative “Feed Rural India” will be implemented in many districts of the state. Kiran Rane and Siddhi Rane, presidents of the organization, appealed to the generous individuals and organizations in the state to extend generous help for these commendable activities.
