Pragatee foundation is one of the trusts for social, health, and education Development; find out such affected areas and organize a free medical camp, free medical distribution camp, etc. Pragatee foundation’s survey team found that there are areas where diseases are there but because of poor background, people are not able to take proper treatment and medicines. Even today there are many cases that come forward to Diabetes, malaria, cancer, kidney stone surgery, dengue, lepto, etc.
On 25th Nov 2012 Pragatee foundation, Mumbai and Shivneri Group, Hemnagar, Alibag, and Sevenhills Hospital (Under the Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana (RGJAY)) Jointly organized Free medical checkup and Free medicine distribution and free registration for various Surgery and operation at Samaj Mandir, Hemnagar, Kusumble, Tal: Alibag, Dist: Raigad, between morning 10:00 A.M. to Evening 3:00 P.M.
Pragatee foundation selected a qualified doctors’ team under Dr. Geetangali Mahadik. There were 10 volunteers and 2 Team Leaders appointed to control and manage this camp. This camp also appointed Seven Hill Hospital Team under Dr. Rajiv Malgundkar. All local arrangements were managed through Mr. Raja Keni (President of Shivneri Group) and their local social workers. This Camp was successfully organized and approximately 350-400 people were checked-up. 12 patients registered in the camp for angioplasty/bypass heart surgery will be brought in operated FREE OF COST at SEVENHILL HOSPITAL
The main objective to organize this camp To improve access of Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Above Poverty Line (APL) families to quality medical care for identified specialty services requiring hospitalization for following surgeries and therapies or consultations free of cost in SEVENHILLS HOSPITAL, Mumbai. The Following surgeries/therapies/procedures are covered in the Hospital. OPHTHALMOLOGY SURGERY, GENERAL SURGERY, GASTROENTEROLOGY.
