Pragatee Foundation and Vimal Foundation jointly organized Maha Arogya Shibir on the 73rd Republic Day of India as every year in the Navi Mumbai area.
The camp was supported by Shri Harihar Putra Bhajan Samaj, Millennium Hospital, Swarashi Netralaya, Facto Vision, Pearl Coschem Pvt Ltd, Trident Technical Resources Pvt Ltd, Dombivli Blood Bank and ITM.
The health camp was organized at Juinagar, Shirvane Ganesh Mandir Hall in Navi Mumbai. Citizens spontaneously responded to the camp and took advantage of the available health services. The camp site included free eye check-ups, free spectacles distribution, general health check-ups, blood group check-ups, blood pressure check up, ECG check-ups, Ayurvedic treatment and guidance.
Blood donation camp was also organized on the occasion of Republic Day. The camp was inaugurated by former MP Dr. Sanjeev Naik. He emphasised on the importance of health care and safety during his Corona epidemic and appealed to the citizens to strictly follow the Corona protocols and preventive measures issued by the government. He appreciated all the organizers and collaborators and reiterated on the importance of organising such health camps every now and then.
Navi Mumbai Mayor Jaywant Sutar made a special appearance at the camp and guided everyone. Various social workers namely Tanuja Madhavi, Madhuri Sutar, Nishant Bhagat, Balu Jare, Shridhar Madhavi etc. as well as dignitaries and various leaders were present on site.
A total of 150 citizens benefited from the camp and 25 blood donors donated blood. Female blood donors were also involved.
The operation of cataract patients in the camp will be done free of cost.
Mr. Prakash Dhasal, Mr. Akash Dhasal, Mrs. Vandana Dhasal, Vikas Dhasal, Mr Rakesh Vani, Anwar Chivelkar and Mr. Kiran Rane were also present who supported in the successfully organising the health camp.
