Kurla Workshop : Day 1 & Day 2 (7th April 2022 & 8th April 2022)….
Through Pragatee Foundation Mumbai (Reg) and B4U, this CSR initiative related to women empowerment UDDAN – One Leap to Self-Reliance is being implemented. Through this initiative, cooking workshops are being organized at various places in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
The first workshop was held at Nerul, Navi Mumbai from 6th April to 7th April 2022 while the second workshop was held at Kurla Mumbai. Workshops were held on 8th April and 9th April 2022 from 1 to 4 pm at Kurla.
Self help groups and needy women from the “L” Ward Takiyaward area at Kurla West were trained in bakery products. On the first day of the cooking workshop, training was given on making cakes and making chocolates. Then, biscuit making was taught on the second day of the workshop. Cakes were also made by the women present.
The first five women to make the perfect cake were honored with prizes. More than 60 women participated in the workshop. All the women present were honored with certificates for successfully completing the training.
The workshop was guided by Siddhi Rane, Head, Women Empowerment Department, Pragatee Foundation. The program was moderated by Apeksha Dhamal.
All the ladies thanked B4U and Pragatee Foundation. The women present said that the bakery products workshop was very useful for them and they felt that this training would help them to start their own business.
Reshma Shinde and Vaishali Patil, the instructors at the culinary workshop in Kurla, were responsible for training all the women present.
