Pragatee foundation is one of the trusts for social, health and education Development; it finds out such affected areas and organizes free medical camps, free medical distribution camps, etc. Pragatee foundation’s survey team found that there were areas where diseases were prevalent but because of their poor background, people were unable to avail proper treatment and medicines. Even today, many cases of Diabetes, malaria, cancer, kidney stone surgery, dengue, lepto, etc. come forward.

On 14th September 2016, Pragatee foundation, Mumbai and Ganesh Mandal,(Kurla Nehru Nagar) Mumbai and Sevenhills Hospital (Under the Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana (RGJAY)) Jointly organized Free medical checkup and Free medicine distribution and free registration for various Surgery and operation at Kurla Tal: Mumbai Sub, Dist: Mumbai, between morning 10:00 A.M. to Evening 3:00 P.M.

Pragatee foundation selected a qualified doctors’ team under Dr. Geetangali Mahadik & Chinmay Chavan (coordinator of Pragatee Foundation). There were 10 volunteers and 2 Team Leaders appointed to control and manage this camp.This camp also appointed Seven Hill Hospital Team under Dr. Rajiv Malgundkar. All local arrangements were managed by Human Rights Forum organization and their local social workers. This Camp was successfully organized and approximately 200-250 people were check-up. Many patients registered in the camp for angioplasty/bypass heart surgery will be brought in operated FREE OF COST at the SEVEN HILLS HOSPITAL

The main objective to organize this camp was to improve access of Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Above Poverty Line (APL) families to quality medical care for identified specialty services requiring hospitalization for following surgeries and therapies or consultations free of cost at the SEVEN HILLS HOSPITAL, Mumbai.
