JAGTIK MAHILA DIN was celebrated widely on 8th March 2016 by Pragatee foundation, Mumbai. Mrs Sapna Chawla (Principle of Nursery School), Ms Ashwini Gaikwad, Mrs Siddhi Rane, Mrs Pawanpreet Kaur Duggal a Treasurer and Dr Geetanjali Mahadik a Trustee of Pragatee foundation enlightened the women about the need of education in becoming self-dependent.
They were also focused on the subject of the killing of daughters in a rural area. we have produced a street play on the subject of the PC-PNDT Act called ‘Bitiya Na Maro’. Dr Geetanjali Mahadik of Creative group and her troupe will perform the street play, which would be of 15-20 min. duration. We were focused on the dire consequences of the falling sex ratio in our society and nation. In addition, we will be bringing forth the ways in which a common person can make a difference in preventing sex selection in the community.
We are positive that you feel as strongly as we do about the evil practice of sex selection prevalent in our society. We request you to indicate a suitable timing for staging the play that would assure an audience of 100-150 Doctors/Lawyers/Nurses/Students/Community in General.
